Dr. Narayanan (KK) Krishnakumar is Chief Technology Officer at Delta Air Lines. KK leads the cloud program, architecture, quality assurance and a number of key application delivery groups. He is also responsible for Delta’s applications layer transformation, the Being Agile program and a few Centers of Expertise (Cloud, Developer Experience), all as part of the airline’s efforts to continually develop fast and innovative solutions to enhance employee and customer experiences. Before joining Delta, KK spent nine years at Dell Technologies/EMC where he was most recently Senior Vice President and CTO in Dell Digital. KK’s 30-plus-year career has included executive leadership roles within various industries and companies including State Street Corporation, Investors Bank and Trust and Fidelity Investments. A B.Tech graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras), he holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from SUNY – Stony Brook and an MBA from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Krishnakumar is a published author with 19 technical papers, multiple awarded/submitted patents and a co-edited book, “Databases and Mobile Computing” to his credit.
