Ranjini Kottaiyan is a healthcare finance and thought leader. She is also an entrepreneur and founder of AIQIP, a healthcare data analytical company. With a clinical degree in Optometry, several years of experience in clinical and translational research, and now working in one of the largest health systems in New York City, Ranjini’ s team has custom built one of the only five fastest supercomputers in New York City. She is passionate about combining technology and healthcare in providing healthcare solutions.
She has successfully obtained federal and state technology grants of over 300 million dollars in the past 5 years, and actively manages a portfolio of over $90 million dollars for Mount Sinai Health System. She has an MBA in finance and health sciences management from University of Rochester, NY. Ranjini is known for her work in custom building an innovative cutting edge technology that utilizes a wave front sensor that is typically used in astronomy, to study the various layers of the cornea of the eye. Her work was published in the innovative techniques and technology special edition of The Ocular Surface journal.
Ranjini and her husband, Dr. Saravanan Ramalingam, a trauma surgeon, are social entrepreneurs who founded a Task Team during the COVID pandemic. During COVID, they were instrumental in providing free guidance, support and medical assistance to those families affected by COVID. They are passionate about mentoring first and second generation immigrant kids who aspire to become physicians.
